Rooted in a commitment to increasing impact, we collaborate closely with wealth-owners, family offices, Foundations, private banks, and peer philanthropy networks. Jo is a social change practitioner, philanthropy educator, advisor and coach. Passionate about social justice and strong leadership, with over 25 years experience leading organisations to achieve social change. Jo founded Pi In 2019, to deliver private, confidential and pitch-free philanthropy education to families globally.
Jo has worked in over 70 countries, managing health, education and sustainable livelihood programmes, with grant making budgets of £250 million. Jo was the Director of Programmes at EveryChild, a child rights organisation; CEO of AMREF UK, African’s largest health organisation; and CEO of Alfanar, the Arab World’s first venture philanthropy fund.
In 2010 she moved from programme implementation to share her knowledge, skills and experience with philanthropists. As Global Director of The Philanthropy Workshop, she led TPW’s philanthropy education programme, designing and delivering educational programmes for a network of 450 global philanthropists across 15 countries.

In 2010, Jo transitioned to philanthropy education, leading The Philanthropy Workshop’s global program for 450 philanthropists across 15 countries. A former advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and trustee of UBS Optimus Foundation, Jo is a trusted advisor to several family foundations and has been named a top 10 philanthropy advisor by Spear’s since 2014. She holds degrees from Oxford and SOAS and lives in East Sussex with her family.

Programme Officer
Jemima is the program officer at Pi and interested in driving social impact and creating positive change. Her experience includes two years supporting an international Foundation, managing projects involved in the global south, launching its UK arm, and shaping the organisation’s overall strategy and expanding its reach in the UK charity sector.
Jemima also holds a MSc in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics (LSE), where she learnt how to conduct RCTs and measure impact, with an interest in social entrepreneurship and innovation. With a focus on strategic development and a clear passion for advancing philanthropic initiatives, Jemima supports impactful programs and drive sustainable social change.

Leadership Coach + Advisor
Heidi Rolston has held senior global leadership roles in both Operations and Human Resources for private and public organisations. She has experience in strategy, scaling organisations, leadership development, and mergers and acquisitions. Throughout her career, Heidi has focused on building differentiated and compelling employee experiences.
Heidi co-founded a non-profit initiative that works to ensure women have control over their own lives, and the right to live with freedom, self-determination, and independence. Her particular focus on leadership development has informed her philanthropy and she is dedicated to supporting and challenging organisations to reimagine leadership for greater inclusion and better outcomes.
